Fake news regarding PM's vote of confidence refuted by information minister

PM Shehbaz has no plans to take vote of confidence

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has refuted rumors that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would be taking a vote of confidence from parliament.

In a tweet, Ms Aurangzeb stated that the prime minister had not made any such decision, and there was no consultation on the matter.

She further added that Shahbaz Sharif, who was the unanimous candidate of the people, the party, and the coalition parties, had already taken the vote of the leader of the National Assembly on April 11, 2022.

Ms Aurangzeb also urged the media to verify any news related to the PM before reporting it, stating that a fabricated rumor was not a fact.

This statement from the Information Minister puts an end to the rumors circulating on social media about the PM taking a vote of confidence.
